Location and Arrival

The "Haus am Wald" is situated in the South of the Black Forest in the village called Egg which is part of the climatic spa Rickenbach. The sun terrace of the South Black Forest (at 750 metres above sea level) offers views of the Swiss Jura and at good weather conditions up to the Swiss Alps. Thanks to its location next to the forest, here you will find pure calmness and subnatural recreation.

The village Egg is located above Bad Säckingen, about 6 km afar from the Swiss border. Here the "Upper-Rhine" extends from Stein am Rhein via Waldshut and Bad Säckingen up to Basel. Due to the location in the border triangle Germany/Switzerland/France the "Haus am Wald" is a perfect point of origin for many destinations in the Black Forest, Switzerland and France.
